Church of Our Lady, Bruges, Belgium
Church of Our Lady, Bruges, Belgium was built between the 13 to 15th centuries. It played a key role at the end of WW II when the Nazi's at the end of war stole the Michelangelo statue of the Madonna and child from the church. It was later recovered undamaged in a mine in Austria and returned to Bruges. This was chronicled in the recent book and movie entitled "The Monuments Men." The photo was taken with a Leica M-6, 50mm lens on a beautiful spring day. Bruges is the canal city of northern Europe.
