Oregon coast in heavy gale, with bald eagle and ship wreck
This image is from Ft Stevens State Park, Oregon, south of Astoria. A severe storm blew in with winds of 75 to 100 MPH. This eagle was forced off it's roost and became air borne. Birds rarely fly in heavy winds. The wreck is that of the Peter Iredale from 1906. Look at the beach and you can see the sand blowing heavily.
